Teaching Artist Venues
Lizabeth is celebrating 16 years as a teaching artist, at school systems in; Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Florida. She started her work as a teaching artist with The Choral Arts Society of Washington doing solo work and teaching with a quartet. Lizabeth has been with Wolf Trap Education since 2010 and she has been a teaching artist at the Kennedy Center since 2007 where she has developed residencies for Pre-K through High School students in Washington D.C. She has also been a teaching artist with Artist Series Concerts, Arts4All and AFTA in Sarasota Florida. In 2017, Lizabeth brought three of her Workshops to the Smith Center Confabulation Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, and in 2017-2018 developed residencies for Faith Lutheran Learning Center in Sarasota for 2/ 3 and 4/5 year-olds and led professional development workshops for its teachers. Lizabeth especially loves to work with special needs children both in inclusive and self-contained classrooms. She specializes in Jazz vocal and instrumental residencies, Latin American Music, Drama and Storytelling. She also travels in Wolf packs in rural and urban areas in Virginia.
