Lizabeth Flood

 

 

Lizabeth Flood is a critically acclaimed jazz vocalist, songwriter, and classically trained pianist. A native Washingtonian, she has been singing and playing the piano in Washington area venues for over four decades.  Lizabeth Flood’s repertoire consists of thousands of songs  from the 20th century to the present. Specialties include  Jazz standards and tunes of Tin Pan Alley with original arrangements.  She also performs classical music as well as her own compositions.

Engagements in the Washington metropolitan area have included these top Hotels, exclusive clubs and fine restaurants: The Omni-Shoreham Hotel, Georgetown Inn, Lansdowne Resort, J.W. and Marriott Hotels, The Washington and Capital Hilton, The Baltimore Hilton, The National Press Club, The National Democratic Club, Gaslight Club, The University Club, The Four Seasons, The Willard Hotel ,The Hay Adams, The Mayflower, 3 years at Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival’s Celsius Restaurant, Anton’s Loyal Opposition, the Monocle, City Blues, Fino’s, Marcel’s, Blackie’s House of Beef, Deja Vous Again, The British Embassy, The Sequoia Yacht, Season's 52 Restaurants and others.

Lizabeth was the house entertainer at the University Club from 2004-2017 and also  played  receptions for the Motion Picture Association of America from 2012-2018. Lizabeth played during the summers from 2007 through 2010 at Lost River Grill in Lost River, West Virginia. She moved to Sarasota, Florida in 2016 where she performed three days a week at Euphemia Haye on Long Boat Key from 2016 through 2018. She has done concerts at the Sarasota Bay Club since 2018.  She plays and sings at private and public performances throughout the year in Washington, D.C., Sarasota, Florida and West Virginia.

Lizabeth was a performing member of the Washington Choral Arts Society, a premier symphonic chorus from 2000-2017. Performance venues include The Kennedy Center, The Myerhoff Symphony Hall, Wolf Trap, Strathmore Hall, International Music Festival in Spoletto Italy, Royal Albert Hall in London, England and Carnegie Hall. Summer of 2005. South American Tour included the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Argentina  and the Teatro Municipal and Candelaria Church in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. New Zealand Tour with Washington Women’s Chorus June, 2007, Amalfi Coast Tour with Glorie Musicae 2012.  She has been a member of Choral Artists of Sarasota, a premier professional chorus, since 2016.

Lizabeth served on the Educational Advisory Committee for Choral Arts Society of Washington.

Lizabeth has recorded vocal tracks for Bravo’s Emmy Award nominated television series, “The Awful Truth”. 

Lizabeth owns Jasmine Terrace Publishing Company and is affiliated with BMI. 

She has released five CDs. All recordings can be purchased in digital form from iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon music, YouTube and many other digital platforms.
